On October 23, the commissioning ceremony for the Lutai Nanometer Zinc Oxide Industrial Wastewater Comprehensive Treatment and Utilization Project, as well as the launch ceremony for the Zinc Resource Recycling Project, were held. Zhuang Jianqiu, Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Jiyuan Demonstration Zone and Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, announced the commissioning of the Lutai Nanometer Zinc Oxide Industrial Wastewater Comprehensive Treatment and Utilization Project and the launch of the Zinc Resource Recycling Project. Zhang Hongyi, Director of the Management Committee of the Jiyuan Demonstration Zone and Mayor, Qi Baihong, Chairman of Jimei Group, and Zhang Yang from the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, jointly unveiled the demonstration production line for the comprehensive recycling and resource utilization of high-salinity wastewater. Attendees at the launching ceremony included Tan Jiang, Li Huilin, and Wang Xiaofei, leaders of the Jiyuan Demonstration Zone.
In his speech, Zhang Hongyi pointed out that the smooth commissioning and continued advancement of this project will undoubtedly accelerate Jimei Energy’s transition and development, while also providing new experiences and pathways for the industry’s growth. He expressed the hope that Jimei Energy would take the project’s commissioning as an opportunity to further establish itself as a benchmark model for the integrated development of industry, academia, and research, enhance resource utilization efficiency, extend the industrial value chain, elevate the level of industrial development, and facilitate the implementation and construction of more high-quality projects. Zhang Yang from the Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, introduced the collaborative process and future cooperation plans for the demonstration production line for the comprehensive recycling and resource utilization of high-salinity wastewater jointly built by both sides. Both parties will seize this project as an opportunity to continue deepening their cooperation and jointly pursue common development.
At the ceremony, Chairman Qi Baihong delivered a speech. First, on behalf of Jimei Energy Group, he extended a warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to all the leaders and friends for their presence. Qi Lei, Vice Chairman and Deputy General Manager of the Group, briefed the guests on the project’s basic details and Lutai’s future development plans. Following the unveiling ceremony, leaders from the demonstration zone toured the Lutai Intelligent Control Center. The commissioning of Lutai’s industrial water comprehensive treatment and utilization project for nano-zinc oxide is an important initiative taken by Jimei Group as it sets out from a new starting point and focuses on new development. It also reflects the company’s strategic positioning toward green development and its determination to seize the high ground in the circular economy.
