Production process


The company’s leading product is prepared using a fully wet-process method for zinc oxide, which consists of the following steps: leaching, purification, neutralization, water washing, and calcination.

Using coarse zinc oxide or zinc slag from metallurgical plants as raw materials, the material is leached with sulfuric acid to obtain a zinc sulfate solution containing metal ions such as Fe²⁺ and Mn²⁺. The solution is then purified through oxidation and displacement reactions to remove impurity elements including copper, iron, lead, manganese, cadmium, and arsenic. The purified zinc sulfate solution is subsequently neutralized with soda ash to produce solid basic zinc carbonate. After washing, drying, and calcination, highly reactive surface-area-enhanced zinc oxide is obtained.

As a result, this product features a high reaction interface and high activity, a large specific surface area (>70 m²/g), small particle size (<50 nm), easy dispersibility, and low heavy-metal content. It represents a fundamental shift in the traditional methods of producing zinc oxide, as well as in its product structure and performance.
